With so many types of cardstock available, it's no wonder paper and paper products are fast becoming a popular material for laser engraving and cutting.
We've done work on white-core cardstock before, but we've recently found some color-core cardstock that produces wonderful contrast and results when engraved with the laser. Read on to learn how we made these fun and creative scrapbook pages!
We used a 60-watt Helix with the following settings: 75% speed, 15% power, 600 dpi.
Open either file and make any modifications, or create your own artwork for a particular project. When you're satisfied with the design, send the job to the laser.
Next, cut out the glitter foam (or your preferred material) for any embellishments you'd like to add (we used gold bars and blue stars for our pages).
After the page is engraved and you have your necessary decorations, arrange the materials on the page and add the photos.
Tip: Use the laser to cut photos so they're always perfectly cropped.
The images below show a second design that includes an engraving of a distressed map of Paris. Use your imagination to make truly one-of-a-kind pages!
We'll send you a brochure, as well as engraved and cut samples created with the laser.
